WC 2015 Tampere Finland

Game 4 Quarter Final 9/7/15

Great Britain 7 - Hungary 5

Team GB dominated meaningful play for most of the game but had a blip late in the 4 th period allowing the Hungarian some glimmer of hope for a result but Team GB closed out the game and won 7 5

The first period ended 0-0 and this was the team's best first period from all their game's so far.

Team GB started the second period on the powerplay and Rob Shelton converted the powerplay into a one goal lead 24 seconds into the period, the team put another into the back of the 16 seconds later from the stick of Ben Lowe, at 18.30 team GB player Nathan Finney had control of the puck and made a rush up the boards whilst Joey Ganley made a change on the other side of the rink on jumps Rob Shelton who skates to the net to put in Finney's pass, at this point GB had totally settled into the game and dispite the Hungarians getting a loan goal in the second period the team looking well in control.

When Simon Jones and Joey Ganley added a couple more goals in the third period it looked like this game was over.

Team GB got into penalty trouble taking three penalties over a short period of time covering the end of the third period and into the final period the boys managed to soak up much of the pressure however on the third powerplay managed to convert two more equal handed goals from the Hungrians meaning it was a 5-4 game Danny Hutchinson's rush up court to score did little to settle the team as the Hungarians replied with one of their own shortly afterwards Team GB settle down and controlled the puck not letting the Hungarians to pull their netminder and Ben Lowe went up to score to totally wrap the game up.
